HarVest Bank of Maryland is participating in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee (TAG) program. Under the TAG program, all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules. Last year the program was extended to June 30, 2010. On April 13, 2010, the FDIC Board approved an interim rule to extend the Transaction Account Guarantee program through December 31, 2010.  HarVest Bank of Maryland will continue to participate in the TAG program.
